Bridging the gap between clinical expertise and career possibilities.

You've built clinical skills. You've done the work. And yet — something keeps tugging at you. A sense that there's more you could be doing, more you could be building, more your training could make possible. You're not wrong.

Hi! I'm Dr. Rinki Varindani Desai — medical speech-language pathologist, board-certified dysphagia specialist, clinical educator, digital health consulting, entrepreneur, researcher, and mom.

I am passionate about helping SLPs design careers that evolve with their lives, to support organizations building meaningful healthtech solutions, and to guide patients navigating complex communication and swallowing impairments.

One of the most common things I hear from SLPs is:

"I know I want to make something more of my career — I just don't know where to start."

If that resonates, I created something for you. It's a free career archetype quiz designed to help you identify your strengths, explore where you could go, and get clarity on your next step, without guilt or overwhelm. Take the SLP Career Archetype Quiz to assess where your skills might be the best fit.

With over 15 years of clinical experience and a career that spans direct patient care, co-founding a global dysphagia education platform, creating mobile apps, digital health consulting, clinical research, leadership, and mentorship, Rinki has intentionally designed a multidimensional portfolio career.

She understands the pulls and pressures that come with being a clinician who wants more, because she's lived them: as an immigrant, a mom, and someone who has had to trust the path without always seeing where it led.

Her story isn't a highlight reel — it's a roadmap for other SLPs who want to grow or reinvent their careers, both within and beyond the clinic.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN WORK WITH ME

for clinicians: design your next chapter

Through career strategy sessions and guided resources built specifically for SLPs, I help you identify what's next and move forward with confidence. Whether you're exploring non-traditional roles, considering entrepreneurship, or simply trying to find a path that fits this season of your life, these resources will give you the structure, direction, and authentic guidance to make it happen.

FOR ORGANIZATIONS: DIGITAL HEALTH CONSULTING

I partner with healthcare startups and organizations to bring real-world clinical insight into the work of building — from product strategy and go-to-market planning to clinical validation and business development. If your team is designing digital health solutions for patients or clinicians,  I help ensure your solution matches the realities of clinical practice.

FOR PATIENTS: EXPERT VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS

Navigating a swallowing disorder, cognitive change, loss of speech and language, or a new neurological diagnosis can be overwhelming. I offer virtual care consultations that bring 15+ years of specialized clinical expertise as a speech-language pathologist, dysphagia specialist, and certified dementia practioner directly to you, wherever you are. My goal is to help you understand what's happening, ask the right questions, and feel confident in your care decisions ahead.
