Work Portfolio
My work spans clinical care, education, research, entrepreneurship, and digital health innovation. Here are some of the projects and initiatives I’ve built, led, and contributed to — all rooted in a shared mission to expand access, elevate clinicians, and improve care.
STEP Community — Swallowing Training & Education Portal
STEP is a global online dysphagia education platform I co-founded to make high-quality, evidence-based swallowing education more accessible to clinicians around the world.
What began as a shared vision to improve dysphagia training has grown into a trusted learning platform serving over 50,000 clinicians and 150+ organizations worldwide. Through online courses, memberships, university partnerships, and clinically relevant resources, STEP helps speech-language pathologists build confidence and competence in dysphagia care.
Medical SLP Forum Community
Medical SLP Forum is a professional community I founded to create connection, collaboration, and shared learning among medical speech-language pathologists.
What started as a simple online gathering space has grown into one of the largest communities for medical SLPs, with tens of thousands of clinicians coming together to ask questions, share resources, discuss clinical challenges, and support one another in the evolving landscape of medical speech-language pathology.
This community reflects one of my deepest beliefs: clinicians thrive when they have access to trusted information, meaningful connection, and spaces where their expertise is recognized and valued.
MGH Institute of Health Professions
At MGH Institute of Health Professions, I contribute as a clinical researcher, educator, and professional development coordinator within the department of communication sciences and disorders.
My work includes supporting research related to dysphagia, shared decision-making, ALS, and digital health, as well as developing and teaching educational programming for current and future clinicians. I also lead continuing and professional development initiatives that help clinicians strengthen the skills needed to grow, lead, and adapt in a changing healthcare landscape.
This work allows me to bridge clinical practice, evidence, education, and innovation — preparing clinicians not only for today’s healthcare system, but for the future of the profession.
BiteLabs Digital Health
BiteLabs is a healthtech, AI, and innovation fellowship designed to help healthcare professionals build the skills, confidence, and network needed to engage with digital health, startups, and innovation.
Through my work with BiteLabs as Director of Clinical Engagement, I support allied health professional engagement, career education, and thought leadership — helping clinicians recognize the value of their expertise beyond traditional care settings. My focus is on helping allied health professionals understand how their clinical experience, systems thinking, communication skills, and patient-centered perspective can contribute meaningfully to healthcare innovation.
Theratactix Digital Health Consulting
Theratactix is my digital health consulting practice, where I help healthtech startups, healthcare organizations, and education ventures build clinically grounded, patient-centered solutions.
I bring 15+ years of real-world clinical experience, product insight, business strategy, and healthcare innovation expertise to support teams working at the intersection of care delivery, technology, education, and impact.
Through Theratactix, I consult on product strategy, clinical validation, user experience, clinician engagement, go-to-market planning, business development, and thought leadership — helping innovators build solutions that are not only visionary, but usable, meaningful, and aligned with clinical realities.
Speaking and Education
I speak at national and international conferences, healthcare organizations, universities, and professional communities on topics spanning dysphagia, digital health, AI, career development, clinical entrepreneurship, and healthcare innovation.
My speaking work is grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience as a clinician, educator, researcher, entrepreneur, and consultant. Whether I’m speaking about swallowing disorders, clinician leadership, digital health, or non-clinical career pathways, my goal is always the same: to help clinicians think differently about their value, their impact, and what is possible.
